I am an athlete and a rebel
I wonder who will win the World Series this year
I hear my brother screaming
I see the Cubs winning the World Series (yeah right)
I want to go to Florida for spring break
I am an athlete and a rebel
I pretend the Yankees suck
I feel that you still need a half hour recess in middle school and even high school
I touch nothing in the Fenway Park restroom (especially the trough-urinal)
I worry that Manny Ramirez might leave when his contract is finished
I cried a lot when I was a baby for no reason
I am an athlete and a rebel
I understand what Bill Gates says he will do with his money when he dies
I say that tobbaco should be outlawed
I dreamed that I was flying once, then I hit a building and died
I try to finish my weekend homework on Friday
I hope that I will be rich some day
I am an athlete and a rebel
I worry about giant assignments
I don’t cry anymore
I am an athlete and a rebel
I understand most of the grades I get
I say that every kid has the right to argue with the teachers and complain to the principal for issues that are unfair instead of being a slave to stupid rules
I dream funny yet stupid dreams
I try to save my money
I hope that someday my dad will give a ton of money to the Jimmy Fund so I can talk to Curt Schilling and Manny Ramirez
I am an athlete and a rebel
P.S. I changed this a little so it would make more sense.

Hey Isaac!
Your poem is cool. I think hearing your dead dog barking is haunting; maybe it’s a fragment of your imagination. You poem tells people alot about you.

Why do you like to be a rebel? I just follow the rules even if i dont like them. It is kind of bad being a rebel.

Hey Isaac, nice blog site. You sure you like The Simpsons? It is sort of weird.

Rush,
I will follow dumb rules, but I don’t like to. And what I mean by that is… for example: If there is something really stupid that just happened at our school, I might talk to Dr. Nelson about it. Also, if a teacher gets angry at me for something I didn’t do and I get in trouble, I will definitely tell her even if it is considered a little rude. I don’t like that sort of stuff.

Hey Isaac, thank you for commenting on my site. The answer for the question where you wrote did you catch the 30 yard bomb. I did not catch it but that’s all right. Anyways I like your poem too. Alright bye.

Isaac I read the comment you said to Rush and you used some bad words and I don’t think you should use them, because you might you might get in trouble and I know you don’t want to get in trouble so better not type those bad words. Your poem was cool and I have a question which dog do you here barking and the barking might be your other dogs that are alive like Sandy or Skoshi.

Just so everybody knows, when I put “I hear my dead dog barking”, remember that you were supposed to write an imaginary sound. Also Chris, those aren’t really BAD words. So I didn’t think it was a big deal.

“Dumb” and “stupid” may seem harmless to you now, but they insult people’s intelligence. Particularly to those in authority. Thus I agree with Chris that these words are disrespectful.
You may say actions are stupid - though I would find a better word - but not people.
Do you get it?

I see what you mean Bronwyn. But I was only talking about certain rules and similar stuff. If it insults anyone I wouldn’t mean for it to.

Hey Isaac!
Thank you so much for the comment on my blog; I really enjoyed reading it. This is a very good poem; it’s very meaningful and the words are strong. Very well written! Anyway, I’m going to answer your questions you left in the comment on my blog. The province that I live in is Manitoba. It’s very nice here; a lot of wilderness and animals. I love it. I am in grade 7. Ever since one of the mines here shut down, a lot of people have been moving, therefore we don’t have a lot of kids in our school anymore. So, I am in a split class with the grade eights. I get to be in with them; it’s a lot of fun, they’re really awesome people. Well…I’ll keep checking back for new posts on your blog. Keep up the awesome work!
